Grace Kenning Chang

“Any place but China, Lord.” With these words began a young Bostonian’s career, spanning 60 years of missionary service to China and Indonesia, including six months in a Chinese concentration camp.

Her last 25 years of life were spent serving in Indonesia with CLC. On April 10th, 1980, just a few months before her eightieth birthday, Grace died on the job, early in the morning, at her post in the CLC bookstore. Her last request was that she be buried in the land where she was serving the Lord.
