William Campbell
Dr. William Campbell (November 4, 1925 – May 5, 2014) was born in Akron, OH. He attended Wooster College, then Case Western Reserve Medical School where he received his MD in 1952. He and his wife, Alice Holly Gier, were married in Hudson, OH, that same year.
In 1955, Bill and Holly and their young daughter Karin left for North Africa, where they served as missionaries under Arab World Ministries (now Pioneers) for 40 years. They worked in Morocco, Tunisia, France, and the UAE, retiring to Emmaus, PA in 1994.
Bill had a tireless zeal for biblical apologetics. His two published books are The Qur’an and the Bible and The False Gospel of Barnabas. A life-long learner and activist, he explored medicine, renewable energy, and political solutions. He and his wife Holly had five children and eleven grandchildren.
