About the Authors

Richard A. Burr was the founder of Pray-Think-Act Ministries, Inc., and former president of the late J. Edwin Orr’s ministry, The Oxford Association for Research in Revival. He also served as the excecutive director for the “Here’s Life” campaigns of Campus Crusade for Christ. Mr. Burr authored two books on prayer in his lifetime: Developing Your Secret Closet of Prayer (co-authored with Dr. Arnold Fleagle; 50,000+ sold to date) and Praying Your Prodigal Home.

Richard served as general director of Pray-Think-Act Ministries and taught seminars in local churches until his homegoing in 2017. This book is based on the teaching notes and transcripts of his seminars.

Dr. Arnold R. Fleagle is a veteran pastor and an accomplished author. Through 2017, he was the senior pastor of Trinity Evangelical Free Church in Amherst, Ohio, overseeing a staff of eight and ministering to 1,000 members and adherents. Previously he served as Director of Church Development for the Central District of the Christian & Missionary Alliance (Northeast Ohio and West Virginia). He now serves interim pastorates in retirement and maintains connections in both these denominations. Dr. Fleagle also conducts seminars through Pray-Think-Act Ministries, continuing the work of Richard Burr. He recently completed a syllabus for The Commands of Messiah companion seminar, and churches are already signing up for it.

Dr. Fleagle holds a B.S. in education from Shippensburg University, an M.A.R. from Asbury Theological Seminary and a D.Min. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. He has authored or co-authored a number of devotional and academic articles and ten books, including Developing Your Secret Closet of Prayer (50,000+ sold to date). Moody Publishing released his book, Broken Windows of the Soul, in 2011, and Sonfire Media published his Christian living book, J-Walking, in 2017. He is married with two adult sons.
