It is hard to overestimate the impact of the life of Corrie ten Boom. She and her family risked their lives by hiding Jews in occupied Holland during World War II. Arrested by the Gestapo and sent to Ravensbruck, the notorious Nazi concentration camp, she found for herself the victory that overcomes the world. After being miraculously released, Corrie began an international ministry of writing and speaking. (more)
Watchman Nee (1903–1972) was a noted Chinese Bible teacher and Christian leader. He began his preaching ministry while still a university student. From 1923 to 1950 Nee founded 200 churches. Starting as small groups meeting in rented houses, these self-supporting congregations became strong spiritually and grew rapidly, continuing to develop after China’s Cultural Revolution. Nee was arrested on false charges in 1952 and found guilty; he was imprisoned until his death in 1972. (more)

Mrs. Jessie Penn-Lewis was a Welsh evangelical speaker and author whose ministry took her to Russia, Scandinavia, Canada, the U.S. and India. Physically frail but spiritually robust, she had a dynamic message which stressed the centrality of the cross of Christ in the life and experience of the Christian. Her own spiritual journey was influenced by the works of Andrew Murray, and she frequently quoted him in her own writings. (more)
